Computational Design Kinematics Laboratory at Stony Brook University headed by Prof. Qiaode Jeffrey Ge and assisted by Prof. Anurag Purwar is involved in a multitude of research areas, such as Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing (CAD/CAM), Robotics and Manufacturing Automation, Mechanical System Design and Simulation, and Application of Geometric Modeling and Computer Graphics in Engineering.
The main theme of our research work is based on bringing together the fields of Geometric Modeling and Kinematics to develop a computational-geometric framework for motion interpolation and approximation. More recently, we have also developed techniques for constrained motion design besides our earlier work on free-form motion design. More details on our research is available from the Projects page. Additionally, you can also download most of our publications.
